Dr. Raashid is a renowned surgeon and researcher who began his career as an Ophthalmic Surgeon in 2013, after completing his MS/MD at the prestigious Government Medical College, Srinagar. He specializes in a range of advanced eye surgeries, including Phaco-Refractive procedures such as Topical Phaco, LASIK, ICL, and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeries like DCR, Ptosis corrections, and Botox injections. Dr. Raashid further honed his skills through fellowships and formal training at prominent institutions, including ICARE Eye Hospital, LVPEI Bhubaneswar, and ASG Eye Hospitals.
With over 20,000 surgeries to his name and numerous national and international publications, he has earned a stellar reputation as one of the leading Phaco and Refractive Surgeons in Jammu and Kashmir, specializing in pioneering techniques and advanced procedures. Currently, he heads the Department of Phaco-Refractive Services and Oculoplasty at Kashmir Eye Hospitals.
